Well I started working and it's very interesting, to say the least. I'm working 12 hour days with one day off a week, which I am certainly grateful for. Today is my first day off, I got lucky with only having to work 3 days befor I had a day off, it really helped me catch up on some sleep last night.
My job is a very demanding physically and mentally, and the worst part so far is just not knowing what is going on half the time. I'm catching on quick but I can still only do so much. I can't really tell you what a typical day is like because no day is the same really. All I know is that by the end of they day I am done. I barely have enough energy to shower, call Melissa and crawl into bed. I'm thinking once I get more acclimated to the environment, the weather, the work load etc. It won't be the same, but for now sleep is key to my success here.
Today being my first day off I decided to explore a bit and relax as much as possible. Now, I still have no clue where half of the things are here but I'm working on it. The hard part is distinguishing buildings because everything is tan and there is sand and rocks everywhere. I'm sure you can imagine my frustration.
So I walked around as much as possible just getting familiar with my surroundings. I also did some laundry and got some necessities from the store. Then I decided it was relaxing time and I did that pool side. Yes, there is a pool here and it's amazing. Now, it's no luxury resort with palm trees but I'm not complaining. I just sat in the water for about 2 hours ready to fall asleep lol. I definitely think I will come back black with the way the sun is here.
I also got a work out in today. I really hope I can keep that up because I don't need to come back bigger than what I am.
All in all I don't think this is going to be a bad trip. I will work hard but that's what I came to do and I will be able to have a little fun in the process. I hope you are all having fun back home. Until next time! Love you all!
